2019 was a year of upgrades for teelaunch, we added 4 brand new product categories and added a total of 7 new features and tools that will assist in guiding our customers toward selling success.
As the new year kicks off, we thought we’d offer up a useful roundup of our 7 newest features.
Etsy push feature
To relieve the time spent on creating and uploading your products, we created Etsy Push. The Etsy Push dropdown option will appear while you upload your products, giving you the option to create a listing in Etsy simultaneously. The first time you use this button, you will fill out shipping options and other details, and after the first use your information will be saved so you will only have to select “Create Etsy teelaunch Listing” and your Shopify products will be linked to your Etsy store without the hassle of going back and forth, filling out two separate product pages. If you’re not currently using Etsy Push and are interested in doing so, you’ll find the button under “more actions” on your Shopify product listing.

Customer Personalization Feature
It’s safe to say for teelaunch, 2019 was the year of the personalization feature. We launched this new feature early in the year and worked towards making most of our catalog personalizable for the remainder of the year. With our personalization feature, you are able to create overlays for certain products in your store and then give your customers the option to upload their own photos straight behind your design (or wherever you choose to set the area of transparency). The best part about this feature is that creating an overlay isn’t necessary. You can upload any blank product, market it as a personalized product to your customers, and let them upload their own image to the entire product. If you’re currently selling personalized products, you shouldn’t miss out on including a “blank” product in your store.
The software used for personalization is so easy and intuitive for your customers to use, a photo can be uploaded straight from a cell phone and takes no longer than 5 minutes!

New Australian Canvas Facility
This year, we also worked towards cutting shipping costs by opening up a new canvas production channel in Australia. Shipping a canvas to your customers in AU will no longer cost them so much that they may not purchase, in fact, shipping costs will be the same as it would for you to ship in the US, as it will be produced in the same country that your customer is in. This is big news for our business owners because it opens up the possibility of thousands of more potential customers that could have otherwise skimmed over a shop with such a high shipping cost.
In 2019 we launched our Combo Apparel section in the teelaunch app. Within this section, you can design two different apparel items and sell them as a pair in a listing in your shop. The great thing about this feature is that you have the option to place the same design on the apparel pieces that you select, or you can place two different designs. We wanted to give your customers a truly great user experience and allow you to sell combo apparel with the least number of clicks in order to increase your conversion rate.
The amount of things you can do with this new feature is endless, here are a few ideas to get you inspired:
- Mommy and me
- Couples shirts
- Gender Reveal gear/Birth announcement
- Best friend tees
- Halloween Shirts (Thing 1 + Thing 2, Trick + Treat etc.)
- Logo Variation shirt combos

Manual Order Processing Feature
For all of our users who offer custom orders, we’ve added our new manual order processing feature. With this feature, you can simply place a hold on your orders until you’ve uploaded the new customized file, after which your order will automatically be sent into production. No more having to worry about deleting your customer’s “dummy” order, this feature will allow you to better manage those custom orders.
If you’re new to the idea of customization, it’s important to not get it confused with our personalization feature. Customization is for store owners who create custom designs for their customers after the product is ordered, such as popyourpup.com, where their customers will include a photo of their pet in the original order, and then the shop owner illustrates their pet and places it on the product in their order.

* It’s important to note that once you turn on the manual order placement option, all of your orders will be put on hold until you either confirm the image, cancel the order, or place the new image.

Multi Mug Option Feature
Let your customers select which mug size they want with our new Multi-Size Mug listing option, where one design gets uploaded to both, an 11oz and 15oz mug. Your listing will appear with a drop-down menu where your customer is able to select which size they’d like. Find this listing as “Multi-Size Mugs” in the drinkware section of the teelaunch app.
We updated a few of our mockups this year, some were to clean up our standard mockups, and the others were to add some exciting new lifestyle mockups. Here’s our list of newly updated mockups:
